Books 1,200/year and that's without the optional supplimentary material (study guides) and supplies (computer/software/matienence) which could bring it up to an extra 1000-2000 depending on how you get down.
Personal expences can be another 2000/year easy. I know I had $100/week allowance and that still was pushing it. I've been up to visit her and DC girls spend money on clothes, clubs, and food esp since your cafe closes so early.
Now you do the math.
Some people might not be feeling the effects of the cost, esp ones coming out of PG county, but they are real, but you shouldn't worry too much seeing as though money is there and Howard is decent compared to some at dishing it out.
you can definitly move off campus freshmen year, but I doubt you would want to. Get the freshmen experience and stop being a lame. Dudes don't cut shower curtains down until Spring anyway. But if you really wanna move out just write a letter to someone and say ure too poor to stay on campus and you have found other housing.
Howard could def. be 100,000 a year, Morehouse is more than that and my girl is definitly paying about 24,000 a year to go to Howard. But that's not just tuition, and that price could be different depending on living arrangments and corners cut.
Whenever dude, everyone has a different schedule and there are JUST enough resources to get around. I probably had to wait on a shower twice and that was during NSO when everyone was on the same schedule.
I love my Lambda Lambda Chi or whatever sisters. It's just that ya'll got high maintenance at times. I guess the fact that it was only like 60 of ya'll caused ya'll to want a closer relationship with your brother dorm. But back to my favorite subject, HH.
HH is just great. The rooms are nice. The hallways are nice. There are like a million girls sharing 3 floors which means that everyone has a friend there. Most of my Spelman sisters and girls I messed with lived in HH. Oh and HH is rowdy, they catch a bad rep every year because out of the million girls there, some of them can't act right. If I remember correctly, 10 girls jumped the 12 ft. high gate during NSO to mess with Morehosue guys. So I guess they earned HH the Happy/Heavenly/Hellacious Hoe tag for the class of 2008.
But HH is still everyone's favorite. Besides they have the best parties and dorm week. But all that is my personal and biased opinion.
Bad isn't even the word for it. I roomed next door to an Albany State student and for the first week everytime she saw me she laughed. What genius invited the #1 team in the division to play with us?
Hey that's not cool, let's support this man while he goes through college. We should all know that it doesnt matter what school he chose, if he graduated at the top of his class at Hampton he'd stand out just as much as if he did the same at Morehouse. And you can fail just as easy at both institutions. Either way he'll like his colllege, hopefully do well. Besides, Hampton has girls.
hey does anyone know anything about what its like in the honors program? i just got into it a few days ago so i think i'll be in Graves Hall. I was just curious if anyone could tell me a little more about it and what Graves is like, since Morehouse has sent me pretty much NOTHING lol.
Graves hall alum...it's an experience. You'll probably like it, esp. after the staff changes have been made.
I think Abby has the biggest dorms at Spelman, but LLCI is newer and has airconditioning. The basement floor of Manley is big as hell too, but you share with three other girls. You should be cool wherever u end up.
