Couldn't it be possible that the 06 is for 2006 instead of 1906?? Now if the year was 2005 and she had an 06 by her name, that may be a little different.....just something to think about.
Man, I just graduated from XU (THANK GOD) but it was a sad sight to see looking at CNN and my poor school is flooded. If you want to see the footage go to CNN.com and search for the video "When The Levees Break." About 14 seconds into the stream, you see the campus with all of the green roof tops. The school that took soo much to get in the first place is all messed up. It's not like we get money from the state, so the students are gonna have to rebuild that school one way or another. Yes there are people still on campus, and yes it was messed up how things went as far as evacuation went, but gladly they are given food and water daily by boat. Last I heard, everyone was okay, but they were not top priority at the time because there were people still stranded in their homes.
Thank goodness I no longer attend Xavier. Damn shame they didn't evacuate people in the dorms..they made em stay right there....
Man, I'm soo glad I GRADUATED! School has just started and people had to turn around and go right back home! The poor freshmen...they don't have cars and not many upperclassmen friends, I bet their mommas and daddys were on the phone with the quickness. I'm wondering how campus is holding up since you know once that canal floods main campus floods. I remember two years ago we just got some heavy rain and main campus was a mess! Luckily a lot of people made it to Houston and Baytown and things like that. Yeah, that was a trip about not evacuating the dorms, but that stems from something that went down last year when they evacuated students b/c of the potential storms. I bet folks are sitting up in the Admin building right now chilling in the chapel.
Hey, I go to Xavier (which is also in New Orleans) and though I don't know too much about UNO, I did hear they had a pretty good computer science department. I've been on the campus too and it's straight but I don't know anything about on-campus living.
I thought I had to have sex irresponsibly with a lot of people to be a whore. I guess the new requirement is simply using birth control so that overrides the fact that I'm a virgin.
I have a friend that recently went to a XYZ orgazational fair and accidenlty touched the XYZ blanket. Also while at the fair she was wearing the colors of the oraganization.... was she wrong ?
Girl, last year one of my friends who was newly greek got pissed cuz some girl came up to their table during the organizational fair in the ballroom. She was saying the girl was stupid and blah blah blah, but I ask her if you don't want people to come to the table WHY IN THE HELL DO YOU SET UP?? As far as colors are concerned, was she supposed to change before she went to the fair? Everybody is wearing pink, green, blue and red these days so why would someone even trip over that?
I've been making my own decisions and doing what's best for me for a long time now, I'm pushing 22 and I'm about to finish up this first degree. Combine that with all of the ish I've been through and how I've handled certain issues and situations I've encountered...yeah, I'm a grown ass woman. (Now it's time for me to get a grown ass apartment and a grown ass job in Texas. :razz: )
Lol....I thought she taught most of them. I just looked in the cataloge and saw her name by most of the p.e. classes. Maybe I'll take it next spring, cause that online registration damn near drove me crazy.
I'm so glad we didn't have to deal with that shyt. It was bad enough getting classes that I needed to graduate and the biology department head is a straight up bia... if you know what I'm saying. Her azz would not give me an override for this class for JACK..uugh I can't stand her azz.
Oh yeah, I know some folks in karate right now. They like it but they said the instructor is serious about that class. See, I made sure to stay away from Sister Craig cuz her little azz is like an energizer bunny. I remember the first time we saw her walking laps around campus (she used to do them in the summer while we were in HH) we used to be like "damn, is that St. Katherine Drexel?" Ahh, the good ole days. :lol:
What's so bad about PE? Isn't that supposed to be like an easy A?
Lol. Here it's this one nun who teach all these p.e. classes, so it's impossible not to have her. My friend take her for step aerobics and she said they actually have written tests and a final. For step aerobics :???:
Girl Sister Craig does not teach all of the PE classes....lol. I took tennis last semester as my PE course and my homegirl took volleyball (team sports) neither of which are taught by Sister. Anywho, tennis was a good course and I just kept my hair wrapped up while we played and never had an issue cuz my wrap always looked good afterwards.
To answer the thread, I've done my own hair the whole time I've been here except for maybe 6 times (in 4 years). I'd relax it, sit under my dryer, flat iron and then wrap it and leave it alone for the rest of the week until I washed it again. For the most part, my wrap never really lost it's "bump" so to speak.
