I didn't see any sorority pictures or trademarks in the pictures. I saw things associated with AKA in the pictures such as pink, green, pearls and mirrors, but I didn't see anything in the pictures that would honestly hold up in a court of law as copyright infringement. But honestly, I dunno as of yet how Nationals will be handling this. I'm tryna focus on that sheepskin.
What about the AKA shield in the background? Would that hold up in court as trademark infringement?

As far as why they're doing it...I have no idea. I heard they were gay so I guess they thought they could be apart of a SORORITY because of that...*shrugs*.
At tennessee state university (TSU) the sigmas have no beef with anybody but folks think we have somethng against the men from alpha phi alpha. That is not the case at all. We are some real as Niccas with respect for every organization out there. However, there are organizations who look at me and some of my bruhs wrong. Heeey that is how greek life is. Everybody out there is not going to agree with what you pledged. U have to look beyond those folks and continue to do you. Feel Me.
I always thought it was between the Alphas and Kappas at our school but you're right, the Sigmas dont have any beef with anybody(which is good). As far as Greek Unity at our school(TSU), i dont see it a lot. I mean everybody is pretty much cool with each other but you dont really see collaborations between ALL the Greeks. Its usually just two orgs who MIGHT do something together and its usually a party.

I'm in the marching band as well and I know it can be hard trying to go to organizational events but trying not to get kicked out the band for doing it..lol For me, it was easier because the informational for my org. was in the spring but for you I would advise you to either ask your BD if you can be excused to go or if not, maybe try to get in contact with a member of that org. and ask what was discussed at the meeting if possible. If all else fails...you might just have to take the L and wait till the spring.

Actually, its people that thought about doing that with KKPsi here at TSU. We had the Zeta Pi chapters of KKPsi/TBS but our band director wont let us bring them back no matter how hard we try so I know of one dude that thought about pledging at a chapter in his hometown since he cant do it at TSU.
As long as he's involved in that collegiate band program, it should be ok.
I guess the band director feels that his band is doing fine without KKPsi and doesn't need it. HOWEVER, I do believe that it is unfair to deny someone the chance of being apart of a GREAT organization. You'd think that TSU would have a chapter. Do any black chapters of KKPsi come and visit TSU?
Nope...in fact, the first time i was directly exposed to the black chapters of KKPsi and TBS was at the HBCU National Band Directors Consortium 3 weeks ago. It is unfair because you wouldnt believe how many people(including me) that want to be in the Psi....our rechartering line would be like 50 deep..lol
Sometimes, I believe, it's ok to do that depending on the organization and situation. But, if there isn't a chapter at your school (meaning that it has never held a charter at that institution), why not start one up? City-wide chapters are funny to me. If your in school, start a chapter at that school as opposed to joining a city-wide chapter. The orgs that I've seen with members in city-wide chapters on campus don't really have much of a social presence.
