Hmmm...so much has happened, and so little room to type. Well, I guess i'll start with the fact that i'm not in school anymore. Yes, sad...i know...but I left Howard to travel and be with my sweetypie. His name is Sebastian Telfair and he's a pro-baller. I initially moved to Portland when he was playing for the Trailblazers, but now we're in Boston. We're engaged to be married on June 6, 2007 because it falls right in between both of our birthdays (june 3 & june 9). Oh, and we're also expecting our first child...yay us! :-D
Stop lying to these people!! I just saw you the other day!! LMAO
i like the song BUT she sounds horrible live. i have seen at least 4 different performances...the first time i let it go but after that I realized that she just doesn't sing that well. i still like the song though..lol
might as well post this in two topics.
i got the annex. anybody got info on that besides what's in the brochure?
The annex like he said above is the best dorm at Howard. It has its own cafeteria, a/c, store, and no community bathrooms. Alot of people that don't stay in the annex think that those girls aren't social, but it all depends on the person. I know I had a ball. There are the occassional flooding problems tho.
I sent my application in early January and got an acceptance letter last week. So it took me about a month.
I remember my roommate freshman year applied in January and never received her admission letter, so she had to call to find out she was accepted. I didn't even apply until February right before the deadline and I received my acceptance letter at the end of February. I don't know what was going on in that office.
i read sumwhere on this thread that swimming is a requirement for arts/sciences majors....
*throws head back* ...God i hope that person was mistaken..cuz i CANNOT swim to save my life..... :?
there's gotta be sum way to get outta that!
SUMBODY PLEASE LET ME KNOW!
No, that person did not make a mistake. It is a requirement! As a matter of fact we have to take 4 PE courses which include: swimming, health and 2 activities. I'm about to be a senior and I still haven't enrolled in a swimming course...lol. I will next year though (well I really don't have a choice)
Oh and good luck trying to get out of it..lol The only way you won't have to take swimming is if you have a medical condition that prevents you from swimming confirmed by your doctor or you switch out of Arts & Sciences.
If you do decide to stay and take swimming, trust me, you won't be the only one who doesn't know how to swim. I think that is one of the main reasons why they make us take swimming. They have a beginners level swimming course.
