Aliya joined the team in June 2011 as the Director of Business Development. She relocated from Spring, Texas and has been glad to be back in her hometown of Columbus, Ohio ever since.
Aliya graduated from Virginia State University in 1999 with Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel, Restaurant & Institutional Management. Upon graduation she worked with Aramark as a LEAD Manager, this position exposed her to the industry of meeting planning where she later worked as a Conference Planner in Washington, DC. In 2001, she left Washington, DC and moved to St. Louis to work with Maritz Travel Company, while with Maritz she managed the onsite logistics for events, conferences and meetings. This opportunity allowed her to travel the world, Argentina, Switzerland, Germany, London and many other wonderful places. After 7 years of traveling the globe Aliya accepted a position in The Woodlands, TX as a Conference Planning Manager. During this position Aliya completed the Certified Meeting Professional Program and received her certification.
Aliya brings a wide variety of experience to the table in meeting planning, business development, customer service, and sales. She's so pleased and excited to be working with an innovative and fun team!
